The Independent and JC (Jewish Chronicle), both massive national newspapers, have printed articles that conclude Habonim Dror breeds creative geniuses. With graduates such as Sasha Baron Cohen (aka Ali G and Borat), David Baddiel, Seth Rogen, Mike Leigh, Jonathan Freedland and Dan Patterson it was only a matter of time for people to commend us on how we do things.
It was put down to the way we run activities in an informal and creative manner. 'We would have to organise a sketch show in a couple of hours-it was like a training for drama or arts' Recalls Jonathan Freedland being interviewed for the JC's article. Simon Brodkin (comedian) is Dan Patterson's hot tip to be 'the next big thing' who has flourished out of our movement.
