Habonim Dror members flocked to north and south Manchester to support the UJIA Super Sunday campaign to raise money for projects in Israel and here in Britain. Habonim Dror sent an impressive number of volunteers and their help was greatly appreciated by UJIA and the Manchester community.
Habonim Dror and UJIA have a strong partnership and this was another of the events that Habonim Dror encourage members to volunteer in. Keren Davis from south Manchester said, “this was a great experience for me, not only did I have a chance to volunteer, but I found out much more about the projects UJIA offer.” Lucy Kaitcer said, “I really enjoy doing social action, so to raise money for people that really need it and in a country I love is a win win situation.”
Zoe Warner was in charge of the recruitment drive for volunteers for the event and said, “I was amazed by the sheer number of people that jumped at the chance to volunteer and it shows the commitment of Habonim Dror to not only Israel, but to the British community.”
