HD1 & HD2
Today HD1 set out very early on a short tiyul at Nachal El Al. HD2 also did a short tiyul in the Galil before both groups travelled to Kibbutz Sdot Yam for Yom Habonim Dror. Here, all the Habonim Dror Israel Camps from around the world met up, which included participants from Holland, North America, South Africa and Germany.
The morning was spent getting to know each other and having various activities run about Habonim Dror on a global scale. In the afternoon, everyone headed down to the beautiful beach at Sdot Yam (see picture) for a BBQ lunch, and kayaking in the sea. After some time relaxing altogether on the beach, the groups headed off around 4 p.m. As soon as it was over HD1 had to travel to the very north of Israel to Shlomi. HD2 had a much shorter journey to Migdal Haemek.

Quote of the Day:
"Yom Habonim by the sea was a truly great day. Meeting other young, Jewish people from Habonim Dror around the world was an eye-opening experience and showed me what an amazing movement we are part of" - Daniel Myers (HD2) |
