HD1 & HD2
After a well deserved lie in, both groups marked Shabbat with a culturally Jewish Shabbat service to include traditional prayers with modern songs, followed by a chevruta (discussion pairs) on the parasha hashavua (weekly sedra).
HD1
Having enjoyed a relaxing Shabbat afternoon by the swimming pool, HD1 hosted Kvutsat Yovel in Ashdot Ya’akov. Kvutsat Yovel is made up of members of Habonim Dror UK and North America who made aliyah over 6 years ago. They live in Migdal HaEmek in the Galil and talked to the group about their socialist living and the new style of kibbutz, the Irbutz. They also spoke about the need for Social Action in Israel’s society and what they can do to help. After Shabbat, the group travelled to Tiberias for some free time.
HD2
After a very restful Shabbat afternoon sitting by the pool, HD2 travelled to the northern city of Kiryat Shmona for a free evening, where they went Ice Skating at the Canada Centre nearby.
