HD1
HD1 got up early this morning and followed in the footsteps of the pioneers. They hiked through
Kibbutz Diganya to Kibbutz Kinneret cemetery, tracing the steps of the members of the 2nd Aliyah such as
Rachel. They ended the hike at the Kinneret where they swam and rested by the beautiful sea. Later they returned to kibbutz Ashdot Ya’akov where they prepared for Shabbat. The group had their first Shabbat service together before enjoying a fun Oneg Shabbat.
HD2
HD2 took a completely different route and travelled to the mystical town of
Tsfat (Safed). Here they took a tour around the beautiful synagogues and learnt about the Kabbalah. They finished the tour in the famous candle factory in the heart of Tsfat. The group then travelled for a short tiyul to Mount Meron where
Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai is buried. The group then returned to Kibbutz Hagoshrim to prepare for the group’s first Shabbat.
