HD1
As the kvutsot separated, HD1 set off on their first tiyul (hike) of the machaneh at Nahal Kziv. They then headed to Acre (Acco). They took a tour around the town and learnt about the co-existence of Jews and Arabs in this ancient town. Today it is quite small with a population of around 45,000 inhabitants and its port is used as a resort and for yachts.
They then went to kibbutz Lochmei Ha’getaot, to visit the Ghetto fighter museum. Here they learnt about the history of the ghetto uprising and the history of Dror.
The day ended with a trip to Hamat Gader where the group swam in the hot springs and had dinner out in a restaurant there. Eventually the group headed to Kibbutz Ashodot Ya’akov where they are going to sleep for the next couple of days.
