HD1
This morning HD1 headed to Mini Israel. A museum with miniature models of sites they have visited during the machaneh. They then played a game looking at all the places they have been to and really enjoyed running around this unusual museum.
HD2
HD2 headed to Jaffa (Yafo) a part of the municipality Tel-Aviv-Yafo. It is a port city on the Mediterranean Sea and the historical gateway into Israel. It is mentioned twice in the Torah. Firstly as the port-of-entry for the cedars of Lebanon for Solomon's Temple. and secondly in the Book of Jonah it was where Jonah embarked for Tarshish. Some claim that Jaffa was named after Japheth, one of the three sons of Noah, who built it after the Great Flood. Another explanation is that the city is called Jaffa because of its beauty ("yofi" in Hebrew).
HD1 & HD2
The groups then switched over and HD1 headed to Jaffa and HD2 to Mini Israel. They returned to their hotels and had a talk from one of the members of staff from Israel Experience in Israel, Michal, about their time on Machaneh Yisrael. The groups then got showered and changed and headed off to their final party for dinner and a disco.
Both groups made the most of the last time they will be a kvutsah together in Israel. They do however, have many more years to enjoy together in Habonim Dror such as on Winter Camp, when they will shine as our newest madrichim. Kol a Kavod and big Heyach Heydads to a great month, all the hard work from our outstanding madrichim and for the constant enthusiasm of the chanichim.
