HD1 & HD2
Today was the last Shabbat on Machaneh Yisrael. The day started with the customary lie in to allow the groups to recover from the hectic week in the Negev and Tel Aviv. They then marked Shabbat with a culturally Jewish Shabbat service to include traditional prayers with modern songs, followed by a chevruta (discussion pairs) on the parasha hashavua (weekly sedra) Massai.
The groups then spent much of the day sikkuming (concluding) what they have learnt over the month. The madrichim ran a peulah (activity) on their role in the movement once they returned home from machaneh yisrael. They also ran a session concluding the Zionism section of the tour, "Mi Anachnu" (who are we?) Zionism. The groups then did havdallah together finishing off the day with lots of singing and a great group atmosphere.
