Dear mum and dad
I can’t believe how quickly four weeks have passed. It was like being on a rollercoaster ride from start to finish! We have done so much stuff from Masada to Bedouin tents to abseiling…it is absolutely non-stop. My group became my temporary family, spending every day together and sharing such amazing experiences – they are my new best friends. I think we are the best group out of everyone. The kupah (communal kitty system) allows the group to make decisions together – this is much nicer than everyone buying things just for themselves like the other groups do.
It wouldn’t be fair not to mention the Madrichim! They run really fun and interesting peulot alongside all of the places we visited which made sure we connected to what we saw. During tour we are also getting some hadracha (leadership) training, which is really worthwhile – I can’t wait to put it into practice.
Living with Israelis our own age was a real cultural exchange. We spent a few days on a kibbutz with them which showed me a totally different way of life. I made great friends whom I can now stay with whenever I’m in Israel!!
This was, undoubtedly, the best experience of my life, and I am so glad I did it with Habonim Dror! xx
