Dear mum and dad
Sayarim was the best two weeks of my life. We started off like the other camps did: tiyul (hiking and camping) for the first four days where we got to hike to a new campsite every night. Here we were in our kvutzot (groups) of about fifteen people – it was absolutely amazing – we are like a family now! Tiyul makes sure we hang out with everyone in the group – I wouldn’t change it for the word!
Main site was amazing. The theme of the camp was the Holocaust – I have to admit I was a little bit uneasy at the thought of learning about the Holocaust for two weeks but now I can see why people cal it “the best Holocaust seminar in Europe” for our age group. The trained leaders were amazing – how they managed to teach us about the Holocaust, whilst not constantly depressing us and making us have so much fun in between I still don’t understand. They made it even more clear to me the importance of educating about such a significant topic.
Now I know why Sayarim is the last camp before Israel tour – they leave the best till last! This was the best camp ever, I hope Israel is this much fun ..xx
